| WHERE
TO USE
Use
for protection of dc motors and driven machines against
suddenly applied high overloads. An instantaneous overload
relay is normally used on cranes, hoists and other applications
in which heavy overloads are encountered.
The IC2820E500 relays are unit-mounted on a steel base
insulated from the electrical circuits. The panel on which
relays are installed need not be insulated except for
ratings 900 amps and larger using stud-bus terminals extending
through the panel.
Continuous dc current ranges of 2.5 to 1500 amps are available.
Trip
setting can be adjusted from 100% to 400% of coil rating
(Forms AA and AB). For 50% to 200% trip setting, substitute
AG for AA and AH for AB. Easy-to-read adjustment scale
is provided.
Manual reset relays can be easily converted to automatic
reset by the purchaser without additional parts.
