| WHERE
TO USE
Use
for general-purpose relaying, undervoltage protection,
plugging, and similar applications. GE Relays are available
with either shunt or GE series coils. They can be mounted
on either steel or insulating panels.
Choose general-duty GE relays for normal service or where
space is limited. Select heavy-duty GE relays for severe
service or when more than four circuits are required.
Latched-in relays are used for overvoltage or overcurrent
protection. Note that relays for control of circuits 48
volts and below have contacts designed especially for
this voltage.
Complete relays are recommended when applications are
known in advance. Building-block units are recommended
when applications vary in number of circuits and contact
arrangements.
Contacts can be changed from normally open to normally
closed and vice versa, except that general-duty relays
should not exceed two normally closed contacts. To assure
proper clearance on NO-NC combination, locate NC contact
on bottom.
